Each month we will be highlighting a #MashoftheMonth, this will focus on a tool or application within Purple Mash and how it can be used within the classroom to support learning across the curriculum. During the month, if you share how you have used #MashoftheMonth, you will then be entered into a draw to win a 2Simple Goody Bag!
This November the Mash of the Month is 2Paint a Picture. 2Paint A Picture is a drawing tool that helps you to create various painting effects and combine these effects to make pictures. When you open the tool, a template choice screen opens, displaying all the possible paint effects. Each paint effect has a short video explanation to go alongside it.
We have chosen 2Paint a Picture as our #Mashof the Month this month as it is the tool that is used to enter our Festive Card Competition. It's a wonderful way to get started with this versatile paint tool. Last year as with every year that we have run this competition we were blown away by the fabulous designs created by your pupils within 2Paint a Picture and the variety of effects that were used. However, 2Paint a Picture is not just for the Festive season. Children could also use it to create Firework pictures this month to celebrate Bonfire night.
As well as being used to create celebration pictures, 2Paint a Picture can also be used across the curriculum, from drawing scenes from their favourite book, to creating artwork in the style of their favourite artist, the only limit to what children can create is their imagination.
